Annual Awards Benefit Gala “Saluting Survivors… Promoting Life”

Eagle Awards

The Annual Awards Gala showcases noted citizens and luminaries, who have made extraordinary sacrifices and contributions to humankind by sharing their personal success stories in overcoming debilitating illnesses, and championing for awareness about chronic diseases.

In some way, disparities in health care will eventually impact us all. It is IAMMM’s belief that showcasing survivors – and hearing their triumphant stories – will inspire others to take more responsibility for one’s health care and to seek early detection and treatment.

The Eagle Fly Free Award recognizes distinguished citizens who have made extraordinary sacrifices and contributions to humankind by sharing their personal success stories in overcoming debilitating illnesses.

In 2006, IAMMM established the Soar High Leaders Award, which is given to leaders in the healthcare industry. These recipients have helped pave the way to a better understanding of chronic diseases, and have influenced innovation in health care through research, advocacy, and education, thus ensuring improved health care across the nation and throughout the world.

Monies raised through this annual event support health education, community outreach, health screenings, and referrals for minorities and the underserved. To explore sponsorship opportunities, or receive information about upcoming IAMMM events, please call Madeline Y. Lawson at (202) 667-6155.
